Tina Bruefach has been a practicing Physician Assistant for 35 years and graduated from Touro College in New York in 1986 with B.S. and Physician Assistant degrees. She initially practiced in general surgery and then relocated to Baltimore, where she worked in general surgery and urology. She is board-certified 6 times and has been practicing in Florida for 25 years. She worked in emergency medicine and opened her own walk-in clinic with an emergency medicine physician. She spent 15 years in emergency medicine, then moved on to gastroenterology. With her previous experience in surgery, emergency medicine, and urology, she loved the challenge of evaluating patients with abdominal pain. She felt there was a lack of interest in anorectal disorders and was trained to treat internal hemorrhoids with the rubber-band ligation technique. After 12 years in gastroenterology, she is excited to return to general surgery while continuing to evaluate and treat patients with abdominal pain and treat internal hemorrhoids. Tina has also been very involved with nutrition and started a vitamin and supplement company called Lif-Med Vitamins and Supplements. In addition to her medical career, she is a licensed REALTORĀ® and has a real estate company with her husband who is a Broker. She enjoys boating, wakesurfing, travelling, and spending time at home or at the beach with friends and family.
